Who doesn't love doing yoga with animals?

Does your pet love to get involved when you practice yoga?  Mine sure does.  I have a pug and as soon as he sees me unrolling my mat or getting onto the floor for my yoga practice, he's all over it.  I don't know what it is about coming to the ground that gets him all excited.  Maybe it's that I am fully within his reach or that he feels like I am only getting on the ground to play with him... I really can't be too sure.  I do want to say that it's the best feeling to go to my mat and have him there.  I know that my mood changes instantly when I know I am going to spend some time on my mat so perhaps he can feel that positive energy and gravitates towards that.

I find he also has this knack for getting into yoga photos in funny ways.  I am currently doing a 365 day yoga challenge on Instagram.  I have to post a handstand picture every day for 365 days and if successful, I will get a free pair of yoga pants from this great company called Inversion Junkie Apparel.  I absolutely love yoga challenges because they combine a bunch of my favourite things: yoga, meeting other yoga fanatics, and getting free stuff (if you get chosen as a winner).  For this one everyone is a winner as long as you complete the challenge.  I am a month and a half in so we will see how it goes.  How does this tie back into yoga with animals?  Well, I think that 99.9% of my photos have Beamer, my yoga pug, in them.  Usually he makes the picture.  I love doing pigeon pose (Kapotasana) when he is around because he will usually hop up onto my back and lie down giving me a little extra incentive to stay longer in the pose and a little extra stretch.  How does he know he is helping?  I guess I will never know.

What about you?  Do you love yoga with your animals?  I would love to see some of your favourite yoga pictures with your animals.
