A fresh start
It’s been a while since I have posted. You will have to forgive me. Life has thrown me some unexpected curve balls and when that happens, we all need to take a step back and take care of ourselves first and look after everything else second. December brought a lot of personal loss and today, I am trying my best to pick myself up and move forward with my chin up. Life is hard sometimes, but we all get through it.
Im still working on the ‘getting through it’ part but I’m happy to say that 2018 will bring some exciting things to YogaSloth. First, I finally finished my 500 hour teacher training! That’s right, I’m officially an RYT 500!!!!! The program was quite intense and I STILL feel like a yoga beginner but I feel like I have the tools to really build my life with my yoga practice. Through all of this turmoil, yoga continues to be something I can always rely on to help me. Now that I’m done with yoga school for a little while, I’m going to refocus on my yoga practice and on sharing knowledge with all of you. I’m starting small in this endeavor because it’s a big task but for my initial attempt, I have made a little video about what Namaste really means. I’ve started a YouTube channel but you can find the video here. Please let me know what you think and if you have specific things you’d like to learn about, let me know.
I also completed the handstand 365 challenge with Inversion Junkie Apparel on Instagram too. I basically posted a picture of me doing a handstand every day for all of 2017. I can’t believe I did it. If you want to grow in your handstand practice, doing them every day for a year is a very big help. I definitely recommend taking on a challenge like that if you have a specific yoga goal for 2018.
Id love to hear about what you have been up to and what your yoga goals are for this year. Until next time...
